About San Antonio
Fiesta is a week-long festival in April that honors the fallen soldiers from the Battle of the Alamo and Battle of San Jacinto. The culminating event is the Battle of the Flowers Parade, which is a huge holiday for the city (it is also a school holiday).
The Alamo, one San Antonio’s signature tourist attractions, is located in the heart of the city. The city also created “Mission Reach”: bike trails that connect four additional missions.
While the commercial part of the Riverwalk is one of the best known aspects of San Antonio, the Riverwalk goes far beyond shopping. You can take a boat tour or follow the Riverwalk down South for a beautiful walk or jog.
Check out a Spurs game at the AT&T Center — there is a great food truck area!
